Where
to park in Verona
|
Verona,
a city of almost 258 thousand inhabitants, is one of
the most visited cities in Veneto. There are many
who visit the city coming from outside by car, a
city that is located near an important motorway
junction, the A4 Milan-Venice and the A22 Brenner
motorway, plus several other state roads of frequent
transit. Parking in Verona is quite simple,
thanks to suitable facilities for service in the
historic center. |

Within the
historical centre there are many ZTL (Restricted
Traffic Zone) areas that restrict the access and circulation
of vehicles at fixed times. Practically the entire area
located north of Bra Square (Piazza Bra)
within the river arch is now a ZTL. If you have booked a
hotel in the center that has parking, the hotel itself will
communicate your license plate to the municipal police. Near
Arsenal Square there is also the homonymous guarded paid car
park (Parking Saba Arsenale Arsenal Square, 8).
There are also some free parking areas, in addition to the paid
ones (more numerous). For example, you can park in Piazza
Arsenale, where there are (still several free white stalls), but
also blue for a fee. From there you cross the beautiful
Castelvecchio,
and then take Via Roma, arriving in Piazza Bra in 10 minutes in
the heart of Verona.
Along many other urban viaways there are also other spaces
with blue stripes, to be paid through parking meters
installed on the road or application on a mobile device. All you
have to do is be careful not to enter the ZTL area. But, as in
almost all cities, they can be easily traced by the presence of
signs and cameras.
